Adamas was created by two friends, Englishman Dan Connolly and Burgundian Manoël Bouchet. Having played for rival rugby teams in Hong Kong (Dan for HKFC and Mano for Kowloon), their love of wine and rugby led to an improbable meeting three years later on a rugby pitch in Beaune, the heart of Burgundy, France. |

Their shared passion for wine and rugby led to the creation of Burgundy’s first Anglo-French négociant. With their range of wines based on a barrel selection from some of the Côte d'Or’s great wine-makers, Adamas represents an exciting new approach to Burgundy. Excellent quality wines that are easy to understand and have a fresh approachable style. Adamas is ancient Greek for diamond. Diamonds concentrate light and we want to concentrate light on the great traditional wine-making region of Burgundy. With more than 2000 years of wine-making heritage, it is home to the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties that have yielded some of the greatest names in the wine business. Romanée Conti, Montrachet and Richebourg are wines that are the quality benchmark for wine-makers the world over. |
